Maged Shendy
Experienced Obstetrician and Urogynaecologist Dr. Maged Shendy
Based in Nottingham, England, Dr. Maged Shendy joined the North Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust as a consultant obstetrician and urogynaecologist in 2021. He is now a senior urogynaecologist, a position that emphasizes outpatient clinical care. Dr. Maged Shendy possesses experience in treating complex conditions beyond the scope of newly appointed consultants and junior staff.
Dr. Shendy has completed numerous major vaginal procedures, including autologous fascial sling procedures for stress urinary incontinence. He is one of fewer than 30 surgeons in the United Kingdom capable of performing this procedure. In addition to holding multiple leadership and management positions over a medical career spanning three decades, he has conducted extensive medical research.
After receiving his medical degree from the Alexandria School of Medicine, Dr. Shendy continued his education as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG) in London. He later completed an RCOG advanced training skills module. He also holds a European Diploma of Contraception and Reproductive Health from the European Society of Contraception and Sexual Health.
